I only had debt and no assets and I really never thought about assets or savings. I did not know what a liability was until my late 50’s. I had been thinking about getting into real estate investing and Robert Kyosaki had a course on real estate investing, which I signed up for and it took me 3 months to get through it. After finishing Robert Kiyosaki’s course, I was ready to invest and I was praying for asset’s to take care of my liabilities, as I was taught in the course. Older people can learn new things by the way!
While on the internet looking for real estate sites, other investing sites would pop up and I noticed in 2016 and early 2017 this new thing called Bitcoin. It would pop up here and there and when I took a look at the price, I noticed it was unstable but kept going higher. I kept on looking at real estate but was not comfortable in pulling the trigger because my mind was thinking about not having to do more physical work, as my occupation was in remodeling.
I kept seeing more information about Bitcoin so I figured I should research it and there began my rabbit hole experience with Bitcoin. YouTube videos, Twitter and books on Amazon were my go-to educational resources. I was distracted by litecoin, Ethereum and some bitcoin investing rug-pull sites. I did not thoroughly understand what I was doing when I was buying on Coinbase, but I kept learning. I lost litecoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin because of my lack of knowledge.
I kept learning about and kept stacking Bitcoin so we could keep it forever and never sell it. I’m a hodler of last resort today in 2022, 5 years in, and my 5 children are all orange-pilled. My wife is the turtle and she lets me be the rabbit…Lol. I keep learning and see the best property in this world right now is Bitcoin.
We will borrow off of this asset forever and teach our grown up children to do the same. Bitcoin is the best savings we have ever had and I believe will ever have. Bitcoin fixed our way of thinking and has taught us much about a real hard asset. Hope.com is a website created by Michael Saylor where you can learn more for free.
