I saw a YouTube ad for Bitcoin and crypto in 2017 and signed up for Coinbase. Unfortunately, I quickly fell victim to unit bias and stayed away from Bitcoin. Instead, I purchased some Litecoin hoping that “it would be the next Bitcoin.”

I didn’t pay too much attention to it except when the price rose and fell over the years, but I held onto it through 2020 and noticed the price had fallen, and I decided to buy and trade shitcoins.

In November of 2020, Twitter launched Spaces, and I frequented a few that centered around Bitcoin conversation. I started to learn about the properties of Bitcoin that made it a superior asset, like its supply limit and robust security.

I began to research and stumbled upon an Andreas Antonopoulos lecture from 2016 called “What is Bitcoin and Why does it matter.” I’ll never forget watching this video and the feeling it gave me. I soon realized that this feeling I got was becoming “orange-pilled.”

Everything seemed to click for me. Andreas made a point in the video that kids born today won’t have bank accounts. With Bitcoin, everyone can be their banker! I realized that Bitcoin would one day be the unit of account and global reserve currency of the world. I had to act! I immediately sold all my shitcoins and converted everything to Bitcoin. When 2021 came around, I spent 2-4 hours each day learning more about Bitcoin, and I continue to learn more every day. I began compiling resources into a Discord server that I created and called “Bitcoin Education.”

Today, this server has over 300 members and 20,000 hours of research organized into channels. I’m on Bitcoin Twitter every single day interacting with plebs. This is how I met Jeremy, CEO of a new Bitcoin publication called “Satoshi’s Journal.” I now create content for Satoshi’s Journal, primarily on Tik Tok, and I love it.

Bitcoin has changed my life, making my life more fun, engaging, and meaningful. I am a high school math teacher by trade, and I have been using my teaching skills to transfer my Bitcoin knowledge to others. This is now my life’s goal.
